Often times the Individual chooses the provider themselves and in some cases even bring the provider to the agency to become certified. It is JRVS' philosophy that appropriate fit facilitates the fundamentals to personal growth and life enrichment.

About the Host Home Department

JRVS has been a established Medicaid Long Term Care Provider for Home and Community Based Services- Developmental Disabilities since 1985. The Host Home Department makes up over 80% of Jordan Residential and Vocational Services Residential Services. As a Host Home Provider you start your own Business as a Independent Contractor providing for up to 2 individuals with developmental disabilities. There are great benefits to starting a Host Home the most notable is working from home and having tax free revenue. JRVS works along side it's independent contractors to make the experience for the individual and provider the best living and working relationship possible.

How do I get started as a Host Home Provider?

-You must first apply and complete the Host Home Process. A Home Study will be completed by a JRVS administrator to evaluate if you are a good candidate. 


How long does it take to start a Host Home?

Host Home is a commitment to fit and life long service for a individual who is in need of a stable home. The process of becoming a qualified Host Home takes 20 initial hours of training time then the process of finding best fit can vary case by case. As a individual who needs care arises fit between the provider/ family and the individual will be assessed with home visits and meetings.   The team involved with the individual or guardian ultimately makes the decision of placement. With these processes in mind the placement of a Host Home can vary from case to case. After a Individual commits to your Host Home the first step will be completing the Host Home Process (download the Host Home Process for below).
